I think I’ve mentioned somewhere before along the way about how important I think it is to photograph your kiddos with their friends as they grow. As much as I’d be happy clinging to my babies all day every day, I know how much they are enjoying growing up into little people and how important their friends and friendships are to them. (Isn’t “bittersweet” the perfect term for motherhood? Every morning when I walk my big girl to the bus stop, we hold hands and she snuggles into my sweater as we wait; as soon as she sees it coming, her mind is immediately focused on her friends and school. All I want to do is grab her hand and hug her, but I watch her go instead and feel proud of her independence….sigh.)
Anyway, back to the point. As part of this whole “destination photography” angle I’m starting to focus on, I wanted to post these fun travel pics I took of these four little Texas friends together.
I am IN LOVE with this picture. That face. It’s too much.
Mommas and daddies, get out there with your cameras and capture your littles and their friends. Also, don’t forget that every shoot doesn’t have to be picture perfect with the perfect clothing with everyone smiling at the camera. That’s part of the beauty of being little, right? They’ll be cute even in bathing suits, swimmies, and goggles.
If you’ve been thinking about asking a photographer to tag along on your next vacation, ooh! ooh! pick me! pick me! 2016 is going to be a year of fabulous travel photography for me. Call me if you’re going somewhere cool and don’t feel like packing a camera and a tripod.
Love, Andrea
