Remember when I had a special announcement about my biz? I have a fancy blog post coming with all of the official details, but I’ll give you a big hint: destination photography.
So when I had the opportunity to go shoot a corporate party in Las Vegas last week, I JUMPED at the chance. (Remember how I posted a video of my little one last week? What do you mean you haven’t watched it 150 times like I have??) I love travelling so much. I had a 6-year hiatus while my babies were really little, and this year I feel like I’m finally back on track with lots of travel. I love all of it: the strategic packing, the plane rides, the hotels, the drinks with tiny umbrellas….
I was asked to shoot an annual party for Westmark Associates. From their Facebook page: “Westmark Associates is an internet marketing consulting firm specializing in affiliate marketing, social media marketing, and business automation using Infusionsoft software.” Super bonus? It’s run by one of my best friends and her most super fabulous momma.
Here are some highlights: Plane ride editing photos and listening to music. Ahh, bliss. Headed west.
I typically try to dress up a little for my clients, but I’ve never been able to wear a metallic silver Vegas dress to a shoot before! Pre-party coffee, camera bag, and quickie elevator selfie for the husband–check, check, check.
Let’s party. The fun part of knowing the party hostesses is that I was able to take some photos with the hot ladies in the room. Thanks to Brian Falzon for taking these pics despite Niki’s multiple threats about dropping my camera. :)
The Rain Man Suite at Caesar’s Palace.
Goodbye, Vegas. I’ll try not to stay away so long again.
My 44-ish hours in Vegas included a mad dash to finish an album for a client, Rent the Runway, STK, the top of the Cosmopolitan, Surrender at The Wynn, Lil Jon, one successful round of black jack, Color Salon, a nap, The Rain Man Suite, visiting one of my fabulous friends who lives there–oh, and taking party pics.
Thank you Niki and Pat and Westmark Associates! I had a total blast. I hope you love your pictures. I’ll be keeping next year’s October calendar open just in case….
Love, Andrea
