Really?! Sometimes I just wanna pinch myself. When I am going through and looking at pictures from fabulous shoots like these, I really can’t believe how lucky I am to have such a stinkin’ awesome job. If you follow this blog regularly, (Hello, Grandma? Are you there?) then you’ll surely remember one of the best couples ever from their romantic backyard wedding last year. And now, I’m lucky enough to be asked to photograph their most precious baby boy. So basically, we’re family now. :) Can you believe a whole year has gone by and a brand new person has come into being since we last saw each other? Just wait–the months are going to fly by while you watch that little dude grow.
People, please resist your temptation to fall in love with this momma and her baby boy. They have one proud papa taking care of them. But, I am crazy in love with this picture. A beautiful, happy woman holding her new baby? It just doesn’t get any better. I can’t even handle this one. The juxtaposition of daddy’s big strong hands with little man’s eensy weensy perfect tiny fingers? I could die.
So, you know. Just a typical Saturday morning. Father and son just hanging out, talking about life.
I think every newborn photographer goes to sleep the night before a shoot dreaming about having the baby look straight into the camera. That’s what I fall asleep thinking about anyway. I think he just might be the definition of perfection.
Thank you for such a quiet, relaxing morning in your lovely home. Your ahh-maze-ing kitchen has given me lots to ponder about my upcoming reno…in case you’re interested, here’s a link to the bathroom tiles I was telling you about. Congratulations on your new house, new baby, and anniversary. What a year! I can’t wait to show you the rest of your beautiful son. (And now that I think about it, your little one here is the only other baby I’ve seen with the line under his lip like my son’s. Maybe we are related!)
Love, Andrea
