My favorite shoots lately have been birthday parties, and the weather has been just perfect for an outdoor party on the lake. This gorgeous momma set up the most darling first birthday party for her little prince, complete with a crown, a real prince outfit, a beautiful cake, and two ponies. Now this is what I call a cake smash. He smashed it with his booty. True to a firstborn baby, he hasn’t had much sugar, so he wasn’t too excited to dive in face first. Bum first makes for cute pics, too! (My first baby wasn’t interested in her cake, because I had been such a good, health-conscience momma. Second baby? I think his first word was “sugar.”) Love, love, love how much this momma loves her boy. So sweet. I’ve got lots of great family pics to show you, too.First, I have a crush on this location now. How luscious is this late afternoon light? We went down to the water to take some pictures after he was cleaned up from cake and had opened some presents.
