sweet vows and some sun-drenched awesomeness {The Woodlands, TX, lifestyle photographer}

Wowsa. Can I tell you again how much I love my job? After an emotional roller coaster of a week and two wild toddlers running me around like a crazy woman, I was able to rejuvenate myself back to my hopeless romantic nerdiness with this gorgeous wedding. It was a blast from start to finish. This husband and wife are happy, relaxed, fun, funny, and totally in love–my kind of people. And did I mention beautiful? But you can see that for yourselves.the woodlands tx wedding photographe

So, this has got to be one of my all-time-favorite pictures ever. I love all of it. The 38 guys (ok, not 38, but I think there were 20 guys in tuxedos from the ring bearer to all of the ushers) were being fun and silly and trying to make this lovely lady laugh. It was a fun moment and feels like magic when I’m able to get flare like that.the woodlands tx wedding photographe How lucky is this dude to be surrounded by so many beautiful women? the woodlands tx wedding photographeAhh…sun-drenched goodness. Oh, and that little dude with the eyebrow and the personality? He had quite the dance moves at the reception. He did his best to steal the show. :)the woodlands tx wedding photographe1. This is for my former bride, Kelly. Her cakes are gorgeous. One of these days, maybe I won’t be working and will get a chance to taste one!

2. This is a great example of how fun this couple is. The groom’s cake has a 4-wheeler on a muddy road and if you look really carefully, there’s “mud” from the tires splattered on the beautiful white frosting on the bottom right of the wedding cake. How cute. I just adore a bride with a sense of  humor. the woodlands tx wedding photographe If I hadn’t been a child bride and had planned a grown-up wedding, I would have loved to have sparklers at the end like this. Weddings (and any shots at night and low light) are so tricky to get lighting and colors right in camera–that’s partly why you see a lot of black and white wedding photography. But, there’s something so timeless about the black and white at the bottom, especially with her oh-so-cute expression. I just can’t decide which I like better. Which do you prefer?the woodlands tx wedding photographer
