Holy, moly! Are you seeing these blue eyes? I can’t even take how cute these two are. They were such good boys and so sweet together. This super sweet family and I had a fun morning at Discovery Green in Houston. After one previous rain-out reschedule, it wasn’t looking good because the early morning was so cold and foggy, but it turned out to be a gorgeous day right about the time we started shooting.
I have to give a little shout-out to this awesome daddy. Dudes just don’t really get how much women love photos, and (in my experience) they would prefer to be doing many other things than taking family photos. However, this dad was a superstar, and he made my job super easy, so thank you!
P.S. to any guys reading this, we (women) love photos. We love everything about them. We want gazillions of family photos and pictures of our kids. We want them all over the house. And yes, we need them all. I don’t know why that’s the great divide between the sexes, but it is. I’m guessing the first husband and wife argument over a family photo session is how the term “just grin and bear it” was first coined. Dads, I recognize your pain and appreciate your effort and will do my best to make it short and sweet. :)
It might be a bit of a photography crime to turn all these pretty eyes black and white, but I thought these looked great in a high-contrast black and white edit. This was at the end of the session, so the sun was coming on pretty strong. Aren’t these two so adorable together? I’m a sucker for momma and baby smooches! Thanks for spending a beautiful morning in the park with me. I’m proud of that sweet big brother having such patience, especially when the playground was within reach! I will let you know as soon as the rest are ready.
Love, Andrea
