Whew! I made it. I lived through the 2012-last-quarter-craziness. I will have a few more holiday sessions to post from the end of 2012, but I’m so looking forward to what this year is already shaping up to be. And, I couldn’t think of a better way to start 2013 (this will be my 3rd year in business!) than with a newborn shoot of an oh-so-sweet little peanut. I’m sure you remember this family’s GORGEOUS maternity/family session on the beach in November…well, he’s here! This rockstar momma is the superhero of birthing babies and welcomed this precious little man into the world. I’m totally smitten with this image of the two of them. I usually keep the sharp focus on the baby and keep the mom’s image soft, but she was just so pretty, that I wanted her to be highlighted, too. I love that he’s awake. He had taken a long nap right before I got there, so we have lots of pics with his eyes open, which is wonderful, because you can already start to see his little personality.
It’s always hard for me to decide which pictures to post on the preview when I know there are announcements or cards coming. I want to keep a few surprises for everyone, so I try to pick my favorites that may not make it to the announcements. So, this one is probably my favorite of the two men together. I love the juxtaposition of these two–big strong daddy being so gentle with his delicate and tiny little man. And those baby forehead wrinkles alone make me want another baby. :)
Here’s the big sister! She was such a cutie. We were waiting for little man to finish eating, so she was practicing her posing and silly faces for me. Her eyes are a beautiful golden brown with lovely lashes that are breathtaking. They beg me to photograph them!
Start thinking about what kind of announcement you’d like, so you can spread your news to the world! I’ll have the rest ready for you in about a week. Thanks for a great morning, and I hope that dude is cooperating at night and you’re getting some rest.
Love, Andrea
