How adorable are these five? They are great friends of ours and I had the great privilege of taking their family photos recently.

They have three super adorable girls, and my kiddos loved playing with them. As you can see, the oldest loves being the mommy of the group and is such a wonderful big sister to their newest addition to the family. I love the way she’s trying to comfort the baby. And this sweet little blondie…what a doll. She and my little blondie became fast friends.

So, my husband and I actually grew up with the handsome daddy of this crew, and then the four of us all went to college together. We were both military couples for a while, so this is the first time in about 10 years that we’ve lived close enough to visit. It’s hard to believe we’ve had 5 kiddos between us since we’d last seen each other.

This daddy is an active duty officer in the US Army–as close as it comes to a real-life superhero in my eyes. I think these girls agree!
